Blue & Gold

So my mom recently became the cub master of my brother's cub scout troop. She used to be my ward's young women's president so this was a big change. Tonight I was forced to help her with her Blue & Gold banquet. Here are some pics.
This is acute "Blue & Gold" sign that a lady in my ward made for the banquets a couple years ago. I thought it was cute.
Just a better view of the blue and gold tables. The sun was setting and the lighting was really good.
We got to keep the balloons. It was also freezing, even though its Arizona, so I was wearing a jacket over a sweater. You can see Mary admiring her's in the background.
This is a video I took riding a scooter around before it started.

V-Ball, Boutique, and Church Night

So thought I'd give y'all a picture of me with my short hair.
So still don't have my picture from the wedding yet but today was pretty fun. First I went to my friends' volleyball tournaments. They won both of the games that I watched. The last game was so intense. It went to three games at 16-14. If you know volleyball you understand the frustration.
This is a picture of their team.

I posted this picture on Instagram with one of my friends who played. The high school I will go to that the volleyball club they're in works with was hosting so her team got to put their stuff in the locker room.
With Westwood high school hosting at their actual school gym the parents thought running the snack shack would be fun. My mom was kind enough to take me to QT, Quick Trip, to get my favorite drink right before I had to work the snack shack. Cherry Limeade Fantas are the best!! Try them!!
Then I went to Grandma's Attic Boutique with a couple friends. I took a card from like every stand and bought a stuffed felt donut. We all got matching ones.
I got this amazing raspberry cupcake there. It was so good, had filling and everything. That chocolate thing was filled with raspberry.

Then I had to run a craft station at my church's ward party. We made little picture frames.
Our ward always uses paper you can draw on for table cloths. I drew this little flower with some laurel wreaths.
This is my little 5 year old sassy sister posing at the photo booth.
This is the card she made me and the frame I made. Overall today was pretty fun. Feel free to comment any questions or comments. Check back in later for more posts.

Reptile Friends

So I'm a bit of a nerd. I love animals!! Like I know so many facts. When I was little people would always ask me their animal questions. Last year I joined my schools Animal Welfare League. It partners up with this animal shelter and they bring in animals and teach us about them. We meet every other Thursday. Yesterday they brought in reptiles.
{Sorry I'm still working on my photography}
This is Guapo the iguana. It was feeding time and he was starving, walking around the room trying to eat toe nail polish, colorful electric cables, basically anything with color so we made him a salad.
He's 12 years old. He's lived longer than most iguanas in captivity which usually only live to about 6.
He lost the tip of his tail and his upper lip was amputated that's why he has an under bite.
He's a mango colored iguana from the jungles of South America. Though his color he is still classified as a green iguana. Now days they eat iguanas there. Ewe!!!
When he was done eating he told us by just walking away under my chair.
This is Leo the leopard gecko. His scales were so smooth and velvety! I loved him! His coloring helps him blend into pebbles and rocks on the ground from birds flying overhead.
See how fat his tail is!! That's because it stores fat like a camels hump. It can loose its tail but 80% of all lizards/geckos die within a year of loosing their tail so don't pull off a lizards tail for fun. You could be killing it.
He winked at the camera.
I wanted a good picture of his eyes because the had like brown flecks and looked like snake eyes, but this was the best I could get.
A better view of Leo's tail. We weren't allowed to hold him because they said he was very delicate, like his toes could easily fall off. He's not a climber he said.
This is Javier the Rosy Boa Constrictor. Don't worry, he didn't strangle anyone.
He sure had a strong grip on my hand though. The reason he was holding on so tight was because he felt unbalanced like he was going to fall so he was gripping things to feel safe.
He was so smooth. His scales felt amazing but you have to be sure to rub them the right way. Going up their body towards their heads pulls their scales back and doesn't feel so good for you or them.
He got a grip on her phone. It took her a while, and the other teacher, to pry the phone out of his tail.
See how tight he got it. This was right before the other teacher started helping. He just pulled it right out of her pocket.
So that was my Thursday. The meetings are right after school so I didn't get home till 5. It was a long day but I love going. Today I just went to a wedding. I don't have any pictures but I'm getting one form the photo booth once they send them to me. My long lost friend that moved to Texas' sister was on an LDS mission when they moved so she came home to Mesa and after about a month was engaged to a high school friend. They're adorable together and I'm so glad I saw my friend. I might hang out with her tomorrow if she stays in Arizona. I hope we hang tomorrow. Well I'll update you tomorrow. Feel free to comment any questions. Check in later.

Emma Suzann Hansen

Hi. I'm Emma Suzann Hansen.
That's me only I chopped my hair a few weeks ago to a long bob. I miss my long hair!

This is my crazy exciting family. There's my Dad Trevor, my Mom Shauna, Rachel's the oldest (18), she's at college now. She ditched us. She's in high heels I'm actually taller than her. Then Rebekah (16), she's a junior in high school, also taller than her. Sara's a freshman (15). She's the tall skinny blonde. Then me (13), I'm in 8th grade. Annie, Annalisa is 11 in 6th grade. Brigham is 10 in 4th grade. Dallin is the tiny little 7 year old in 1st grade. Mary is the little spoiled princess at 5 years old. She'll go to Kindergarten next year.
I belong to the LDS church, Latter Day Saints, you might know me better as a Mormon. My name comes from Emma Smith, the wife of Joseph Smith who was the first prophet. Emma Smith was the toughest girl out there no matter what you might hear, and I'm honored to carry her name. Suzann is my Grandma's name. My Grandma said she hated it when people called her Sue, but I have a cousin also named Emma so I always went by Emma Sue and I loved it. Hansen is Danish. My ancestors were Vikings from Denmark so that's how I got my name. Theres my name break-down for you. Now, I'm 13, I'll be 14 March 29th, and I live in Mesa, Arizona.
I love Arizona, but some times its just too hot!!! AZ girls get me!! Ask any of them!! I just want some snow and nice weather. My dream  is to live in Kentucky someday. Not forever but for college I want to go to the University of Kentucky.
Well maybe forever if I like it enough more than being with my family.
I love music!! I sing, play guitar, ukulele, and piano. I even write some of my own music. I love to draw/sketch and I'm a writer, still haven't finished one of my books yet. I always start writing one but then I get a new idea and I start on that one. So now, why "Racing Through Life"? I like fast things. I'm a swimmer so there's one. I love horse racing!! Absolutely love it!! I want to be a trainer when I grow up. I also wished my life would speed up so I could grow up already. Also I love roller coasters. I am absolutely terrified of heights, but on a roller coaster I forget about being high up because they're fast and over quick. Have you ever been to Disneyland? Well you should go if you haven't yet. The best roller coaster is Screamin' on Paradise Pier at California Adventure which is like part of Disneyland. They also have this giant Ferris wheel. I hated it so much. We were up so high and t was so slow it took forever. I like to say I live in the fast lane. So that's why I'm "Racing Through Life". That's a little about me before I start posting actual stuff about what I've been doing. If you have any questions you want me to answer about me or anything just comment. Thanks for reading!! Catch you next week.
